Woodcut and ink on board
Unframed: 122H x 81W, Framed: 125H x 84W
For months I watched this “alien” flower emerge from a giant Agave I had rescued from the nature strip. As I drew, the form took on a life of its own, resembling a swan drifting through watery reflections. These pieces illustrate the shift in aesthetic that I find fascinating to work with. I deliberately surrender the drawing to the ink to allow the print to morph from a soft Mokulito print to a decisive woodcut using the same plate.
